Good Capital Group

Good Capital Group is a boutique investment company which focuses on start-up, established and franchise businesses within the fitness, health, professional services, technology, and human capital industries, across the Australasian region. Its focus is to invest in high income earning assets, across these sectors. In addition to injecting capital into the assets it acquires, GCG plays a hands on role by rendering advisory, consulting, and commercial guidance across all core job functions of the companies it is involved in. Such functions include operations, marketing, sales, accounting, human resources and legal.

GCG is actively looking for investment opportunities particularly at the embryonic stage of an idea, concept or company development, with direct investment capacity up to US$500,000.00.

The company was founded with the intention of creating a business and financial platform for start-up businesses to leverage, in order to accelerate their market entrance in an astute an strategic manner, with a trusted and reliable partner in GCG.

Our Founder

teamLuke holds a Bachelor of Laws awarded with honours from Bond University, a Post Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice from Griffith University, a Diploma in Information Technology, and has partially completed a Master of Business Administration at Macquarie University, and a Master of Laws at UNSW.

Luke was admitted as an Australian lawyer in 2005, to the Supreme Court of New South Wales and Queensland and has over 12 years of experience practising law in the Asia Pacific region.

He commenced his career with Australia’s largest law firm, Minter Ellison in their corporate and litigation teams, and later moved to Thomson Playford (now, Thomson Geer). Luke has since taken on various senior in-house legal roles, including the position of:

  • Regional General Counsel, Asia Pacific for an international and UK listed recruitment firm;
  • Senior Legal Counsel, Asia Pacific also for an international UK listed recruitment firm; and
  • Legal & Compliance Manager, for Optus, Australia’s second largest telecommunications company.

Prior to attending law school, and to some extent during his legal career, Luke’s commercial experience, included several years of working in senior business development and marketing roles with IBM, Compaq, HP and VMware.

As an entrepreneur at heart, Luke founded Good Capital Group (GCG) in 2014 which started with the founding of a law firm, Teneo Legal, as its first business, which specialises in property, employment and commercial law. In the same year GCG acquired a boutique law firm, Sydney Property Conveyancing, which specialises purely in property conveyancing and has been in operation for over a decade.

In 2016, GCG co-founded EG Consulting in the interest of providing credible recruitment services to candidates and employers within the legal and accounting space, and in the third quarter of 2016, GCG founded GoodKeeper, a modern and professional bookkeeping services company, with the aim of making bookkeeping easy for its clients with the premise of simplicity combined with technical credibility.

GCG also owns master franchisee rights in Anytime Fitness Philippines, and Anytime Fitness Malaysia by way of partnership with Anytime Fitness Asia, and owns and manages 50+ Anytime Fitness Franchises across Australasia. Each of these fitness clubs are operated by GCG’s consulting and outsourcing divisions, DreamFit Consulting and/or One Track Outsourcing which provide end to end support from, project management, business process creation/implementation/execution, site selection, lease negotiation, legal advice (including but not limited to, corporate structuring, tax law, and employment and commercial contract advice), below the line and social media marketing, operational support, human resources, and overall accounting support including, payroll, tax compliance, and accounts payable/receivable.

More recently GCG co-founded Cryoclinics Australia, a Master Franchisor health and cosmetic clinic business, specialising in cryotherapy, cryolipolysis, acoustic radio wave therapy, and muscle recovery treatments. Further expanding into the health and wellness space, in June 2017, GCG acquired a substantial stake in MTP Health, an established, multi-disciplinary health clinic, specialising in physiotherapy, chirotherapy, exercise physiology, massage, rehabilitation personal training and group exercise.

Currently GCG has over 250 staff across Australasia.
